Concurrent Enrollment Information
Concurrent Enrollment Technology Requests
If you are enrolled in a concurrent (college) course and use a Cushing Public Schools (CPS) device for class, please let us know early if your instructor requires special apps, Chrome extensions, testing platforms, or proctoring tools.
Planning ahead helps. Requests received the day of a quiz/test often cannot be completed in time. Some university tools require review, configuration, and coordination before they can be used on school-managed devices.
Quick Checklist (Do This Early)
- Get your syllabus as soon as it is available.
- Look for required tools (apps, extensions, testing/proctoring platforms).
- Ask your instructor if you are unsure what is required.
- Submit the form right away if anything special is needed.
- Aim for at least 10 school days’ notice before the first quiz/test that requires the tool.
What we need from you
- Student name and school site
- Course name and college/university
- Instructor name and email address (so we can coordinate directly if clarification is needed)
- Name of the required app / extension / software (and a link if available)
- Whether it is required for quizzes/tests (proctoring, lockdown browser, etc.)
- Date you need it working (first assignment/test date)
When to submit your request
The best time to submit your request is as soon as you receive your course syllabus. Many instructors outline required software and testing platforms at the beginning of the course.
We strongly recommend asking your instructor directly if any special applications, browser extensions, proctoring tools, or testing software will be required.
Please submit your request at least 10 school days before the tool is needed. Requests submitted with fewer than 10 school days’ notice may not be able to be completed in time, especially for testing or proctoring platforms that require configuration or coordination.
Timelines may also be impacted by vendor response times, device policies, and the volume of district technology requests. Submitting early allows us to plan and support you effectively.
Why this takes time
- Some apps/extensions require review for security, privacy, and device compatibility.
- Testing tools may require specific settings and validation before an exam day.
- We may need to coordinate with the college/university or instructor to confirm exact requirements.
- Deployments often require scheduled changes and testing to ensure reliability.
Commonly Supported Apps & Tools (Already Configured)
We will keep this list updated as tools are approved and configured. If your course requires something not listed, submit the request form as soon as possible.
Email Template for Your Instructor
If you are unsure whether your course requires special software, browser extensions, proctoring tools, or testing platforms, you may use the template below to contact your instructor.
Please send this email as soon as you receive your syllabus.
Hello Professor [Last Name],
I am enrolled in your [Course Name] class through [College/University Name] and will be using a Cushing Public Schools Chromebook for coursework and exams. Could you please confirm whether any special applications, browser extensions, proctoring platforms, or testing software are required for this course? If so, would you be willing to share:
- The name of the required software or extension
- A link to the platform (if available)
- Whether it is needed for quizzes or exams
- When it will first be required
Our school technology department requires advance notice to review and configure required tools on school-managed devices.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,

Software Review & Approval
Submission of a request does not guarantee approval. All software, browser extensions, and testing platforms must be reviewed for compatibility, security, privacy, and district policy compliance before deployment.
Our goal is to support your academic success while maintaining a secure and stable learning environment for all students.
