Dear Cushing Public Schools community –
Cushing Public Schools will conduct a test of our notification system on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at approximately 4:15 p.m. The test will include our notification messaging system (text, phone call, app notification, posting to social media, and our website). We test this system each semester to ensure that all members of our community are familiar with them.
The emergency notification system allows the district and each school to send messages to you in cases of an emergency, a natural disaster, or inclement weather.
The mass notification system is not intended to ensure that every communication channel reaches every individual simultaneously. Our goal is to use these multiple channels to create redundancy thereby reaching each individual through at least one channel. When messages are sent, they will go to the phone numbers listed in our student information system as a parent/guardian.
If you do not receive a notification during this test, please contact your child’s school to update your contact information.
In addition to email, text and cell phone, you can also receive emergency messages by following the Cushing Public Schools Facebook and Twitter pages as well as the free CPS Mobile App. You can check the status of Cushing Public Schools by calling (918) 2223-9615.
