Ryan’s Story - Invitation for Parents - Wednesday, August 19th 7:00 p.m. Drumright Activity Center
This is a reminder that John Halligan will present “Ryan’s Story” to our middle school and high school students tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18. His presentation shares the powerful story of his son, Ryan, and addresses important topics including bullying, cyberbullying, empathy, online behavior, and suicide prevention.
Because of the sensitive and emotional nature of the presentation, we want parents and guardians to be aware in advance. If you would prefer for your middle school or high school student not to attend, please contact your child’s school to opt them out of the presentation.
We also want to extend a special invitation to ALL Cushing parents and guardians—regardless of your child’s grade level—to attend the parent presentation of “Ryan’s Story” on Wednesday, August 19, at 7:00 p.m. at the Drumright Public Schools Activity Center. Whether or not your child will attend the student presentation, this evening is an opportunity to hear John Halligan’s powerful message firsthand and learn more about bullying, cyberbullying, online safety, suicide prevention, and ways we can help keep our children safe.
Following our middle school and high school students’ presentation tomorrow, we encourage families to talk with their children about what they heard and learned. Open conversations about bullying, online behavior, and mental health can make an important difference.
Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to support and protect our students.
